It is unbelievable to me how much I have learned from working at Research! America about the US federal government's involvement in global health. You would not believe how the few dollars that is dedicated to this sort of work (a total of less than 1% of our GDP), has actually impacted millions around the globe. While there is always more to be done, I am grateful we have some policies and initiatives in place that focus on the developing world and their needs.
